How to Record Quicktime Video.  
  1. Use quicktime to record. Here is a link on how to use Quicktime to do this. 
  2. Open Quicktime
  3. Select File>New Movie Recording. 
  4. Record your video. 
  5. File Save. 
  6. Then upload it to youtube using the following instructions:

Uploading to Youtube on the Web. 
 
  1. Sign in to YouTube.
  2. At the top right, select Create a video or post and then Upload video.
  3. Select the file you’d like to upload.
  4. Fill out the the Title
  5. Select Yes, it's made for kids
  6. Select More Options
  7. Under Category Select Education
  8. Select Next (no video elements needed)
  9. Under Visibility Set to unlisted. 
  10. Click Save.

Screencastify instructions:
Use the Publish to Youtube option. We have allowed youtube for all students. Videos published to youtube work much better. 

1.) Record Video
2.) Publish to Youtube
3.) Add Channel (First time only) and sign in to youtube with your Maumee Account
4.) Set the video to Unlisted (People who have the link can view it). 
5.) Write a description of the video for identification. 
6.) Select Upload
7.) Now you can share the youtube link to your classroom. 



Using the iPhone App for Youtube. 
Use the YouTube iOS app to upload videos by recording a new video or selecting an existing one:
  1. Sign in to your channel on the YouTube app.
  2. At the top of the app, tap the camera .
  3. Record  a new video or select an existing video from your gallery.
  4. Add a title (max 100 characters) and description (max 5,000 characters) to your video. 
  5. (Optional) Use enhancements:
    • Add a filter  to your video
    • Add music Music note to your video
    • Trim your video by dragging the edges of the white box beneath your video.
  6. Tap Upload to finish.
  7. Visit studio.youtube.com after your upload to set your video’s audience setting. In order to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), you’re required to let us know if your content is made for kids.
  8. Once this is done you can share your link with your students.
